What if your home could become a thriving ecosystem—one where houseplants do more than beautify a room, but help create a healthier, more connected relationship with the living world? 🌿

We’re delighted to welcome Jocelyn Perez-Blanco, founder of Herban Garden, to the 2026 BotanicWise Women’s Herbal Gathering!

Jocelyn is an educator, herbalist, urban naturalist, Flower Essence Therapist, conservationist, and avid gardener whose work makes plant knowledge accessible, practical, and deeply rooted in community care. From tending houseplants and gardens to plant identification, ethnobotany, and ecosystem management, she invites her students to see the natural world with new eyes. Her classes have even been recommended by The New York Times.

Join Jocelyn for two inspiring classes:

What if the sacred medicine we have been seeking has been moving through our bodies all along?

We often think of an entheogen as a sacred plant that carries us across a threshold, beyond the ordinary self and into states of transformation, vision, and deeper knowing.

But in her keynote, Women’s Bodies as Entheogens, Kat Maier invites us to consider something both radical and deeply intimate: that women’s bodies themselves hold pathways into these liminal places.

Through the ever-changing mandala of our hormones, cycles, generative capacities, and embodied Nature, Kat will explore how our bodies can become portals to growth, vision, transformation, and connection with the divine.

Rather than looking outside ourselves for the doorway, what might happen when we turn our attention inward and honor the wisdom already moving through us?

And we can think of few people we’d rather have guide us into this conversation.

Kat has been a practicing herbalist for more than 35 years, weaving together traditional energetic systems, biomedicine, plant conservation, and community care. She is the founder and director of Sacred Plant Traditions and the founder of Botanica Mobile Clinic, which provides free support to mental health and at-risk community members. A former president of United Plant Savers and recipient of its first Medicinal Plant Conservation Award, Kat is also the author of the Nautilus Gold Medal-winning Energetic Herbalism.

Kat brings a lifetime of study, service, and deep relationship with the plants to her teaching, and we are so honored to welcome her as a keynote speaker at this year’s BotanicWise Women’s Herbal Gathering. 🌿✨
